Ailanthus

Ailanthus Desf.

Ailanthus is a genus of ten species from temperate and tropical Asia and Australia (only five according to Mabberley 2008). One species, Ailanthus altissima, is frequently cultivated as an ornamental tree, especially in Europe and North America. In these areas it is increasingly reported as an invasive species.
