Aronia melanocarpa (Michaux) S. Elliott (N-Am.) – A very rare escape from cultivation. Recorded in 1956 in marshy woodland in Gelrode and in 1958 by a field track in Sint-Job-in-‘t-Goor.
These collections are characterized by (nearly) glabrous leaves and probably belong with Aronia melanocarpa. Such plants are apparently no longer found in Belgium at present.
