Lagurus

Lagurus L.

Lagurus is a monotypic genus confined to the Mediterranean region. Its single species, Lagurus ovatus, is sometimes cultivated as an ornamental (especially for dried displays). It furthermore occurs as a weed of agricultural fields and sometimes is a reputed invasive species, for instance in Australia (Mabberley 2008).
