Primula denticulata

Primula denticulata J.E. Smith (Himalayas) – An exceptional alien. A single individual was found in 2016 by a track in the Hautes Fagnes in Sourbrodt. Its vector of introduction is obscure; this species is grown as an ornamental but the locality in Sourbrodt is quite remote without gardens nearby. It may have been introduced on purpose.
There seem to be few records of Primula denticulata in the wild in western Europe. Stace (2010) reports about a similar occurrence in the British Isles and this species has also been recorded as an escape in Germany (Breitfeld 2012).
